Engine rebuild

Have a running stock 1200. Don't know if i should rebuild it to a fresh new 1200 or bump up to like a 1641.. I don't care that much about going fast, I want something that will be less problems and easy to maintain. Are there and engine guys on here that rebuild in their spare time ?

is your 1200 still 6 volt ? yes there are folks on here that rebuild and build motors

No it was converted over to 12 volt before I got it.

To build a 1641 I need to start with a 1600cc motor correct ?? cause i heard you really cant build up from a 1200
