What is your screen name on the SAMBA.COM if you are a user there?

I'm 13MM. Joined there back in 99...then had to start a new account in 2002 due to losing my log-in info.

Just curious if any of you post up on oncoming events over there as to who you are from here.

It was a joke. If you recall K1, I was in the Samba topic you posted asking for help with creating a logo for this new tampa bay dune buggy site. Thats when I came on board here. It amazed me that they locked that topic down sooo quickly. I guess they were afraid of competition.

Stuka, you're right about the purist comment. The majority of them definately frown upon anything out of the ordinary. There are some over there that don't care what you do with your car since it is yours but they are def a minority. Don't worry Stuka, you're safe here

Thats right I did forget Blame it on Old Age lol , They did throw the pad lock quickly lol It's a wounder they didn't delete it right then

Hey, look on the bright side. They left it up for awhile (even though it was locked) making for nice advertising.

I go on there for the info. I have found that there are a ton of self righteous purists on there, oh yeah and everyone hates super beetles, lol. But i've got some good information on there, just have to be careful not to repeat a question that has been asked, ever.

I changed my name on the samba to Mr. Unpopular. Only hitting on two things they didn't like there was really limiting me. So now I cover all of the bases.

I recently ran into the "welcome wagon" myself on another well-known site that shall remain nameless to protect the innocent. Why is it that some people enjoy hiding behind an avatar and spewing hateful comments or expressing attitudes that they would never express in person? Kind of sad really. My opinion is that you should treat people the way you yourself would like to be treated and if you wouldn't say it in person, it shouldn't be posted online either.

and... god forbid should you have fewer posts than the others or be a noob as if somehow that makes you less deserving of a member and your opinion mean less.

I must say that so far, I like this site better for that reason.
