No just pulling apart to do some restore, floor pans, heater channels, among other things

| They can get pretty nasty. The handle and end of the cable on my old '72 broke. I had a pair of vice grips that worked nicely | |

| Finished! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Overall not a bad job to do. If I wouldn't of had to sandblast I could have done it in a day easy. Over all cost about $125 I think it's worth it [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| I was tinkering with some stuff on the oval yesterday. I got the keys made for the shifter lock, and put that all back together. Also put on the rims with the 135's, just to find out that they still rub with disc brakes and drop spindles. So that beam will be coming out next. I am debating on a 2" or 4" narrowed adjustable beam. This also means that I will likely have a full length adjustable (nearly new) beam for sale. So that is what I'm up to. | |

Today, I changed an axle boot and adjusted the other. I learned this can be done without draining the oil too!

| Here is what I've tinkering with today. Seems that I'm getting paid back for all the mischievous things I did as a kid. I have had to replace my mailbox five times in the last 11 years that I have been at this house. So here is what I came up with. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Two mailboxes, 16' of re bar, 50lbs of concrete. BRING IT ON! DADDY HAS SOMETHING FOR YOU !!!! | |

| I seen a guy do that on an episode of the "Ghost Whisperer". (my wife had it on t.v.). The kid hit the mailbox with the bat and it bounced back and hit his friend in the back seat and killed him. Nice job on the mailbox though. | |

| Two mailboxes, $84.00 16' of re bar, $12.00 50lbs of concrete, $10.00....
Knowing that there is not a company out there, that makes a "Batting Glove" thick enough to stop that kind of vibration from shattering a FOREARM....PRICELESS!

| I tinkered with replacing my master cylinder so I could drive to the Lakeland show......unfortunately in the process I pressed down on the pedal stop so brake and clutch pedal fell backward onto the floor. This obviously made the clutch cable fall off in the tunnel UUUGGGGHHHHHHH! So Lisa and I were in the garage until 11:45pm playing with this nonsense. The cool part is I was able to grind off the bottom of the bolt for the pedal stop and replace it, thus making it possible to adjust my pedals back to where they should be. Then I found out that the M/C pushrod would need to be adjusted in, since the pedal was now more forward. But that was frozen in place too. Back out with this crap, got the clip off and soaked the brake rod, freed up the nuts and got it adjusted properly. Anyway fun night and lotsa learnin'. | |

I actually got some more work done. Gertrude now sports a year correct four tab hood and reconditioned gas tank. Haven't finished mounting the tank yet. Painting the mounting thingies.
Pics soon to come | |
