I can always do that. I'm looking for a more tried and true method. Let some one else do all the r&d other than me.

| Hey Rob, I'm guessing we are talking about the front one? If it needs a small amount to be narrowed, I would find someone with a torch and bend it. Better to bend it cold if you can. If it is a lot (2-4"), then take a section out of the center, slide a sleeve over one half, lay it flat and weld the halves back together, slide the sleeve over the weld and weld it in place. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] border="0" alt="Welding" title="Welding" /> This is going to make the sway bar weaker BTW but it might work. Maybe Troy or Kevin can add to this.

i thought there is a narrowed sway bar available on the market for narrowed beams. not to sure about the cutting and welding idea jerry as you said making it week or possibly breaking. i don't think that i would do that. i will see if i can find more info on the narrowed sway bar.

Lol. Yea we have a good relationship, they LOVE me. The problrm is the way they clamp to the control arm they rubs the inside of my 17" rims when it turns.

I have done a lot of changing to the suspension since I tried to put the sway bars on last. I know for sure I need those narrowed ones. I'm going to call my girl Mary Ann at CB and chat with her. That last drive in the rain convinced my I need to put that thing back on.

hey guys, i know that this thread has been here so long. I like the idea of a custom kit other than purchasing sway bar kits (really depends on your taste). If you have finished the mod is it possible to see pics of it? thanks!

Kevin, what I did was get a 3/4 " sway bar narrowed 2". This caused my right rim to rub the bar when I turned left. I put a 8mm wheel spacer on the right front only and that solved the issues. Good luck. If I can help let me know.
