Bus wont go into gear like I am not putting in the clutch . Was fine 2 days ago . Have not smelled the clutch burning and the tranney is not slipping . If I slam into first it will go . once I am going I am fine , it will shift . Any Idea what is wrong ??????

It sounds like your clutch cable isnt adjusted anymore.. this can happen a couple of ways.

The cable is streaching and breaking

the torque tube mount has broken

the wing nut on the cable is stripping and slipping back.

other problems are the clutch itself or the throw out arms bent or broken. (checking the cable and torque tube first is a good idea)

I got the complete Idiots guide . I adjusted the clutch to 1 inch of play . had about 2 . The clutch feels right , Its when I shift , the shifter feels like groove on the H pattern has been welded close and there is no slot for the shifter to go into . Will keep on reading the book

Sounds like your shifter needs adjustment . . . at least on bugs. Not sure if your bus has that same headache.

Edit: Could also be the coupler and / or bushing if your bus has those.
