I just got word that Dave Clark of Sundance Bug and Buggy passed away 12-10-09 @ 2:30am. A great friend who was well known to the VW Community. When I walked into Dave's shop I was greeted with a smile and if there was anything that I wanted to know about VW's , Dave would have no problem sharing his knowledge and helping me out. He's done this on more then one occasion.
Dave you will be missed and I'm sorry to see you go but I'm sure your in a better place now. Fare well my friend.....

I will keep you posted on more info as I get it

I would like to put together a memorial ride in Dave's name
What are your thoughts?

Wow... I'm in shock right now. Life is so short. He will be missed very much by so many. As for the ride, I think its a great idea. I just don't know right now.

I've never met him or been into his shop (he's just too far away from me in West Pasco) but I'm sad to hear he died. My uncle shopped there for years getting parts for his buggies. My uncle passed away Christmas eve last year.

Here's to great buggy rides in heaven!

Shocking news indeed. I knew he was sick but didn't know it was that bad. My prayers are with his wife, family and friends. I think a memorial gathering would be a great idea.

I found out about Dave a few months after. Myself and Jill also visited him frequently as we live in Seffner. It seems he was nice and friendly to just about everyone.
I don't know if the cruise brought up in this post last year was ever done, but they are having one the night before BugJam, and also I heard that the new owners of Sundance are going to have something in his honor in the next month or two also. I'm sure we will hear more on that soon.
