How big a difference is there between 62 and 68 doors if any... other than handles ? is window different size ?

I don't believe they are interchangeable. The latch position on the door is different, not to mention the window opening is bigger on 64 and later cars.

The entire door.......Latch position, the whole latch design, the windows, the way the inner handles look and work, the door locks, the mirror holes.......etc.
